Writing Challenge: Vamps, Covens, Ghost Hunters...oh my

So far we've got these three, and the vamps appeal to me the most.  I think I can work something out with vamps.

So what are we thinking - futuristic, the ancient world, or modern history (like 18th  Century-ish and later)?

What about location?

All female main cast (you know how I love those!)?

Chatter, chatter, chatter...you gotta let me know!

Comments

  1. Yes, all female main cast!

    I'll think about the rest.

    1. Okay, so far...vamps and all female cast. Good, good.

  2. Time-21st century as far as time with flashbacks to the 18th (or 19th) century to see how it started.
Cast-female and male cast-vary the ages. James Earl Jones would make a good vamp especially with that voice. OR George Takei! OR both!
Location-Savannah, GA or St. Augustine, FL-sorry places like New Orleans/Salem have been done to death!

    1. Intriguing. What if we went futuristic though? Maybe a few hints of cyberpunk....

    2. And what if the location isn't a North American and European city?

    3. Okay. I can see futuristic. Don't want a North American (I'm guessing you are meaning Canada, America, and Mexico) or European city? Gotta it covered. We could go Guam. An island out in the middle of nowhere away from prying eyes. Clueless about what is about to be released on the rest of the world. OR Belize full of Mayan ruins or Peru with the Inca ruins. Civilizations that both disappeared without a trace...or did they?

  3. I was thinking very futuristic. Like human expansion into space and new worlds causes the vampirism.

  4. Okay I'm not a writer so I have to bow to the pros! I do think it cannot be regular old vampirism though. I mean if a new world causes it; then it needs to be some mutated form. A whole new level of being a vampire besides the tired story of vampires on earth. Instead of making vampires the old fashioned way these can actually bred. As stated I'm not a writer so I will go back to my rock!

    1. Well, traditional folklore vampires can actually breed. That's how you get dhampirs. Unless you mean with each other.

    2. Yeah I meant with each other.

  5. How about I scribble something and you guys say yea or nay?

  6. Why not create an alternate universe that mirrors some aspect of this world--not North America or Europe--and make vampires sacred but still seductively dangerous?
